31 Day Writing Challenge #2: Day 12 - 'Scene After Scene'

Scene after scene lay scrunched up and scattered on the carpet. Paper balls of frustration surrounding a stooped embodiment of petulance.

All he had to do was his job. All he had to do was write a screen play, like he'd done so many times before. But this time was different. This time he was writing it for her...and for him. How could he write a romance knowing it would be acted out by his girlfriend and the man she used to fuck?

They'd asked for sex scenes and a few scenes of steamy build up. Simple as that. Like he wouldn't picture that asshole's hands all over her porcelain skin every time he put pen to paper. She's fallen for that dick on the first movie they'd worked on. That thought made him uneasy. This wasn't him: jealous, possessive and angry. This wasn't the person he was.

He trusted her. Of course he did. And he was a professional. He could do this. He would do this.

Behind him the door opened, there she stood, looking at him with such concern.

"I quit the movie."
